THE SYED FAMILY XMAS EVE GAME NIGHT

Written by and starring Kausar Mohammed

The 11-minute short world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2021 and has garnered a lot of attention for its comedic and heartfelt storyline, in addition to its queer Muslim themes.

The Syed Family follows Noor, a queer Pakistani Muslim woman who brings her Puerto Rican girlfriend home for the first time on the family's annual game night -- which happens to fall on Christmas Eve! All cards are on the table when Noor's eldest sister unexpectedly shows up, sending the night into chaos and putting all their relationships to the test.

Currently being developed into a larger project.

Currently pitching and developing various projects (TV sketch show, half hour narrative comedy, to feature films).
